The production was fantastic and a lot of fun! Everyone there performed to the best of his or her ability and it was a very enjoyable event. Hopefully this will be only one of many productions here!

The choir I'm a part of will be putting on a production towards the end of March in which we'll be singing and dancing. We've performed some of these songs already in an earlier production in the middle of February. We did great and the Wisconsin Singers performed after us. They sure are good at what they do!

One of the songs we'll be performing in March is called 'Disco Fever.' It's actually a collection of parts of songs from the 70's, which include Boogie Fever, Boogie Wonderland, I Will Survive, You Should Be Dancing, and YMCA. There's a solo in the I Will Survive part and auditions were on Thursday. Everyone that I heard did very well! The announcement wasn't made until mid-day Friday after Calli (another girl in the choir) and I auditioned again since we were 'tied.' I was glad to find out that I'd received the solo, though I think Calli also sang well. It should be fun!

I've kinda put down the guitar for now. I know all I want to know (picking some songs) and I'm as good as I want to be at this point. My brother has great musical talent and I think that everyone expects me to do just as well, but I'd rather develop my talent in other areas at this point. Comments?

I leafed through the CDs at the Miller Hill Mall (Duluth, MN) today, but I didn't find one that I wanted. I paused at a collection of country hits for a while, but when I found out that they weren't performed by the actual artist, I promptly put it back. That's okay, though--I still have the other ones to keep me occupied. Speaking of which... I should get around to listening to some more music!

In early July, I tenatively picked up the guitar for the first time. Since then, I've progressed to fair-to-good picking, but no chords (they frustrate me infinately). My brother, who plays saxophone, is far better than I, though he's been playing since October 2000.
